Hanseatic Bank has gone live with ndgit’s PSD2 solution. Since the end of last year, all PSD2-relevant API interfaces of the Hamburg financial institution to external service providers (Third Party Providers / TPPs) have been provided and maintained via the ndgit API management platform.

“We are proud to have gained another established bank as a customer for our PSD2 solution in Hanseatic Bank,” says Oliver Dlugosch, CEO and co-founder of ndgit. “The fact that Hanseatic Bank has transferred their technological PSD2 compliance to us is further evidence that there are a number of benefits for banks outsourcing this important area – and the ndgit platform is one of the leading solutions for PSD2 API technology.”

Nico Koller, IT project manager at Hanseatic Bank, adds: “The API management platform from ndgit is a fast, efficient and reliable solution for our technological PSD2 compliance. It has enabled us to open all of our PSD2-relevant interfaces to the outside world in the shortest possible time, with minimal effort and absolutely securely, and thus to meet the requirements of EU regulations.” All of the financial institution’s PSD2-relevant API interfaces to external service providers (third-party providers / TPPs) outside of the bank’s own online banking portal were thus provided and maintained via the ndgit API management platform. For the most part, the APIs have been developed in accordance with the Berlin Group’s “NextGenPSD2 standard (version 1.3)”. “The ndgit solution not only includes the maintenance and further development of the APIs, but also extensive documentation in our developer portal,” says Koller. The effort on the part of the bank is therefore minimal.

For the bank, the ndgit PSD2 solution is not only a fast and secure way to meet the regulatory requirements of the EU Payment Service Provider Directive. It also offers a variety of strategic options in the areas of open banking and digital ecosystems for financial services. In addition to standard digital banking services such as account information or payment initiation, Hanseatic Bank now has technical access to all fintech partners who are already integrated on the ndgit platform. “It is now much easier for Hanseatic Bank to offer its customers services from our fintech partners. This could be, for example, fully digital consumer credit, account analyzes or digital asset management,” explains Dlugosch. “The possibilities of the platform are therefore a good fit for Hanseatic Bank, which wants to inspire its customers and partners with new digital products and services.”
